Twitter Releases $8 Twitter Blue Plan with Verification, Twitter has made some changes to its paid Twitter Blue service. The premium service, which initially cost $5 monthly for US users will now cost $8 per month.
Some benefits of the plan include a verification badge and priority ranking for "quality content". Subscribers are also promised increased exposure in responses, mentions, and searches.
In keeping with new owner Elon Musk promise, the platform says Twitter Blue users will encounter reduced "scams, spam, and bots". It will initially be available in the United State, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom on iOS devices.
According to Esther Crawford, a product lead at Twitter, the new Twitter Blue plan isn't yet live, but some users are seeing notifications as part of a test.
